50 First Dates
Fall in love again and again
As a comedian who pokes fun at juvenile jokes and slapstick humor, Adam Sandler surprises many when he shows a softer side. He made more heartwarming movies than you can imagine Great Grandpa and press for Bedtime stories and Just go with it. Funny guys fall in love too. Sandler is no different, and his ideal rom-com partner is Drew Barrymore. For the first time, sparks flew Wedding Singerand they continued 50 First Dates.
Dr. Henry Roth (Sandler) is a veterinarian in Hawaii who avoids relationships like the plague. He spends every night with a new tourist, knowing that they will leave the next day. Henry’s feminine ways change when he meets Lucy (Barrymore), a friendly art teacher with an interesting condition: her memory resets upon waking. That’s why he doesn’t remember the previous day. Believing that she is right for him, Henry decides to go to court with Lucy every day in the hope that one day she will remember.
It’s impossible not to be mesmerized by Sandler and Barrymore, who are wonderful scene partners. Both have just the right amount of charm mixed with silliness. It wouldn’t be a Sandler movie without some physical gags, though 50 First Dates it replaces raunchy humor with genuine sweetness. It’s a welcome change for an enjoyable movie.

Blue chips
He predicted the future of college basketball
Norman Dale is the greatest fictional basketball coach in movie history. Behind Coach Dale should be Pete Bell, played by Nick Nolte. Directed by William Friedkin and written by sports movie icon Ron Shelton, Blue chips Coach follows Bell and his quest to win March Madness championship for the Western University Dolphins.
College basketball has always been about who can land the best players known as blue chips. The dirty secret of college basketball is that you have to pay the best players to recruit them. Despite his better judgment, Pete allows boosters to illegally pay under-the-table recruits (played by Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway) to join West. The move works when West moves to the top of the sport. However, the guilt that comes with cheating constantly eats at Pete.
did Blue chips Are you predicting college basketball in 2026? Think about it. The NIL cycle allows kids to earn millions with their names, images and likenesses. While this benefits the players, college basketball operates like a lawless society without a leader to set the rules. Blue chips It came out in 1994 and is still one of the best movies detailing the dirty work of college basketball.

After the sun
Prepare to be moved
If you need tissues, get them now. After the sun is the horror feature directorial debut by Charlotte Wells. Based on Welles’ experiences, the film explores a woman looking back on a remarkable vacation she spent with her father in her youth.
11-year-old Sophie (Frankie Corio) goes to Turkey with her father Callum (Paul Meskal), who left her mother some time ago. In terms of notable achievements, this trip was uneventful. They go scuba diving, do some sightseeing and dance. However, viewers’ hearts are breaking for Sophie and Callum. To Sophie, she is a child who clearly knows her father is struggling but doesn’t know how to help. To Callum, she’s a lost soul, doing whatever it takes to keep herself together and not fall apart in front of her child.
After the sun supported by two incredible performances from Corio, who has never acted before, and Mezcal, who is nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor. I still can’t listen to Under Pressure like I did before watching that scene with Sophie and Callum. It’s a beautiful film about sadness and how our intimate childhood memories feel so far away.
