TL; DR
- OnePlus users in the US are reporting that their Community app and platform has been broken since last week.
- Users say the US community has also seen very few announcements or updates in recent weeks.
- Community forums for other regions like India and global OnePlus forums are working normally.
OnePlus users in the US are reporting that the company’s Community app and forums have been unavailable for several days.
Received by user complaint Android Authority states that the problem started on March 11 when the platform either automatically logged users out or failed to load new posts. Attempts to log in again are reported to result in connection or server errors.
A user who contacted us about the situation noted that “US users are automatically logged out and trying to log back in fails with connection errors. If you manage to open the app, it doesn’t show any new content – it’s basically a ghost town.”
The screenshots below, shared with us by a user, show errors when commenting or uploading posts in OnePlus’ US community app.
The issue appears to be limited to the US. Community forums for other regions such as India and the global OnePlus forums are functioning normally and continue to receive new posts and updates.
Several reports about the problem have also surfaced On Redditthe US community has seen very few announcements or updates in recent weeks, despite other regional forums hosting discussions about software updates and device news, according to some users.
In September 2025, the company announced operational changes that moved US users from the global community platform to a dedicated US forum and Community app. According to the change, US-registered accounts can only access US-specific community services from September 26, 2025.
At the time, OnePlus said the move would create a “more localized experience” with tailored services for American users.
However, the separation also means that US users will no longer be able to access the global community using their existing accounts. If a problem occurs on the US platform, affected users may not have an alternative official forum to report bugs or seek support.
The situation also comes at a time when questions about the company’s future are swirling online.
“OnePlus North America continues to fully guarantee after-sales support, software updates and legal obligations for users,” the company said at the time.
It is not clear whether the current outage of the US community is related to any internal changes or just a technical problem. We’ll be contacting OnePlus to ask if the US community platform is down and when it might be restored.
