Available today across Asia, Europe and Latin America, the new service allows guests to pre-book airport and station transfers directly in the Airbnb app. Not available in USA, Canada or Africa, yet.
Airbnb has launched private car transfers It has partnered with UK-based airport transfer company Welcome Pickups to add the service to the in-app Airbnb Services feature in more than 125 cities across Asia, Europe and Latin America.
Starting today, guests booking accommodation in eligible cities, including Paris, Bali and Mexico City, will see the option to pre-book a private car directly to or from their listings in the Trips tab.
The service is not yet available in the US, Canada or Africa, although Airbnb has said it plans to expand to those regions.
The feature follows a pilot in Europe and Asia in early 2026 where thousands of guests used the service and gave it an average rating of 4.96 out of 5.

It covers both directions: arriving guests can choose to be picked up at the airport or at the station with a named driver waiting; departing guests can be taken directly from the Airbnb listing.
Bookings are made, viewed and changed entirely within the Airbnb app, without having to go to Welcome Pickups’ own platform.
The partnership is the latest step in Airbnb’s efforts to expand beyond accommodation. The company launched Airbnb Services in May 2025 in 260 cities with ten categories, chefs, photography, massage, spa treatments, personal training, hair, makeup, nails, prepared meals and catering.
Private car transfers are the newest addition. CEO Brian Chesky flagged the airport pick-up pilot earlier this year in an earnings call as part of his ambition to have “the whole journey,” not just the stay, in addition to grocery delivery.
At ITB Berlin in March, Airbnb executives described the vision as encompassing vacation rentals, hotels and airport transfers all in one place.
Dave Stephenson, Airbnb’s Chief Business Officer, said the partnership “designed to enhance the guest’s stay from the moment they arrive.”
Alex Trimis, CEO of Welcome Pickups, described the integration as bringing the company’s existing airport transfer product. “straight to travel travel.”
The strategic rationale for Airbnb is clear: the airport pick-up is one of the highest friction moments of any trip, it happens right after the booking is confirmed, and working with it within the app prevents users from opening a competitor’s product at that critical moment.
More cities are expected to be added during 2026.
