Amazon last month announced Prime Video Ultra was set to launch in the US soon, and that day it officially arrived. Here are the details and how to register.
Prime Video Ultra is a new $4.99/month ad-free tier from Amazon that replaces the previous plan
Amazon has launched a new ad-free subscription plan for Prime Video, replacing its previous ad-free tier for US subscribers.
Prime Video Ultra now available for $4.99 per month for current Prime subscribers.
The previous ad-free Prime Video plan cost $2.99 per month, so Ultra brings with it a significant increase.
However, this increase also comes with some new features for Prime Video that help make it more attractive compared to its advertising plan.

For starters, 4K/UHD streaming is exclusive to Prime Video Ultra. So, if having the highest quality streams is important to you, you should go for Ultra.
In addition, Ultra users can now have up to five simultaneous streams. The previous ad-free plan only supported three streams.
Finally, Prime Video Ultra gives you up to 100 simultaneous offline downloads, which is a huge increase from the previous limit of 25.
These perks are nice, but for many, the main appeal of Ultra will be the removal of ads.
To sign up for Prime Video Ultra, go to this page and select the button that says “Go ad-free with Ultra”.
