Anthropic launches Claude Marketplace, giving enterprises access to Claude-powered tools from Replit, GitLab, Harvey, and more.

today, the company announced Claude Marketplacea new offering that allows enterprises with an existing Anthropic spending commitment to apply a portion of it to tools and applications powered by Anthropic’s Claude models but developed and offered by external partners, including GitLab, Harvey, Lovable, Replit, Rogo, and Snowflake.

According to Anthropic Claude Marketplace FAQthe program is designed to simplify procurement and consolidate AI costs. Anthropic says Marketplace is in limited preview right now, and businesses interested in using it should contact Anthropic’s account team to get started.

For customers interested in the Marketplace, Anthropic says purchases made through it “count toward a portion of their existing Anthropic commitment,” and the company will handle invoicing for partner costs, meaning businesses can use a portion of their existing Anthropic commitment to purchase Claude-backed partner solutions. In fact, Anthropic is positioning the Claude Marketplace as a more centralized way for businesses to acquire certain partner tools supported by Claude.

The whole point, though Anthropic Claude Code and Claude Kovork for many users, the applications were able to shift enterprise costs and time away from current third-party software-as-a-service (Saas) applications and instead "vibe code" new solutions or bespoke, AI-powered workflows. This idea is so widespread that there were previous Claude integrations several times lately cause a Big selloff in SaaS stocks after investors thought Claude could threaten major companies and applications.

Claude Marketplace seems to challenge this idea, showing that current SaaS applications are still valuable and perhaps even more useful, and that Claude is attractive to integrated enterprises.

The startup raises the broader question of how enterprises will choose to use Claude: directly through Anthropic’s own products and APIs, or through third-party applications that deploy Claude for more specialized workflows.

Tool integration

Model and chat platforms have always tried to offer integration with the goal of reducing the time users spend building software versions.

OpenAI Added third-party apps to ChatGPT and launched a new App Catalog in December 2025. This brought in offers from companies like Canva, Expedia and Figma that users could apply using. "@" mentions when bidding on the chatbot.

However, it’s unclear exactly how many people are using ChatGPT Apps three months in, especially in businesses — will Claude’s Marketplace be more successful here? Growing enterprise adoption of Claude and Anthropic products?

ChatGPT’s integrated applications have focused more broadly on retail and individual consumer-oriented tasks than enterprise, but the company has also tried to appeal to that market. New plugins for ChatGPT were released this week along with the new GPT-5.4.

Other AI tool markets have also grown. Lightning AI launched an artificial intelligence center following similar moves by AWS and Hugging Face last year. Many AI marketplaces, such as Salesforce’s, focus on uncovering AI agents that can have the capabilities customers need.

How does Anthropic’s solution differ? Asked for comment, a spokesman said:

"Claude is a model – reasoning, writing, analyzing and coding. But Harvey isn’t the only Claude with a legal order. It’s a purpose-built platform built for how legal teams actually work – with the domain expertise, workflow integration, compliance infrastructure and institutional knowledge that businesses demand. Rogo for finance is the same as Snowflake for enterprise data or GitLab for software development. These partners have built product layers on top of Claude over the years, making it useful for specific industries and workflows. That’s the point. Thousands of businesses use Claude to power their products, and the best have built something that Claude couldn’t replicate on its own. Claude Marketplace is not Anthropic trying to replace these products. It’s Anthropic investing in them – making it easy for businesses to access the best Claude-powered tools without having to manage a separate procurement process for each one. Claude is the intelligence layer. Our partners are the product."

Native vs applied

Enterprise users have adapted their Claude or ChatGPT platforms to recognize preferences, connect to data sources and maintain context. Much of how people use enterprise AI these days is focused on personalization, making the system work for their needs.

Platforms like OpenClaw enabled people to build autonomous agents that could gain full access to their computers to perform tasks and execute workflows. In other words, Claude and other platforms can already do most of what these new third-party Marketplace tools allow—if they have the right context and data.

However, third-party tools and integrations allow enterprise users to avoid doing the work themselves and instead invoke an existing tool to manage it. For those whose businesses are built around specific, tool-based workflows, Marketplace may be just the right AI integration for them. There’s also the chance for businesses that already pay for Claude to use the new Marketplace to explore third-party tools and services they wouldn’t otherwise have access to.

While it’s still unclear what the Claude Marketplace will look like in action, it’s possible that with these tools, businesses can use Claude as an orchestrator, where the platform acts as a command center that taps into the right tool and enters the right context without constantly having to refer to it.

Observers noted that Claude Marketplace offers businesses a way to “pre-approve” applications, bypassing the often lengthy and painstaking approval process.

Some people noted that Anthropic’s move shows how many enterprises will want to work directly with the platforms without requiring users to switch to separate offerings.

Anthropic’s biggest challenge with the Claude Marketplace is adoption. Many of its launch partners already have enterprise customers who deploy their tools via API or already connect via MCP or other protocols for context.

Some users may already have apps with vibe code that include these integrations. Now it’s just a matter of showing that enterprise users want to use these new tools in their Claude workflows.
