Jesse Williams has joined the cast of The Morning Show

The fifth season of Apple TV’s multi-award winning Morning Show adds Jesse Williams. The actor will play UBN’s newest Head of News, Vernon, who is known as a daring mixer with the ability to grab and hold viewers.
Williams, along with Daniels, Reese Witherspoon (Walk the line), Jennifer Aniston (Terrible Bosses), Nicole Beharie (Love, Brooklyn), Nestor Carbonell (Lost), Billy Crudup (Almost famous), Mark Duplass (Blue Jay), Jon Hamm (Child driver) and Karen Pittman (Guardianship).
Crudup actually won the Apple TV the first Emmy He repeated in 2024 when he received the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2020.
To date, The Morning Show has won two more Primetime Emmy Awards, including 2024 for Outstanding Contemporary Hairstyle and Outstanding Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetics).
The Morning Show It wrapped up its fourth season last November, and Apple has yet to confirm a return date for season 5. When recently asked by The Hollywood Reporter if there were any changes to the 2026 premiere season, showrunner Charlotte Stoudt said:
I think so. I haven’t talked to Apple about any release dates, but there was a writers’ strike between seasons three and four, so it’s been quite a long delay. So if it wasn’t this year, maybe we’ll move a little faster. I knock on wood then!
