Destiny 2’s content will not be verified in Bungie’s Marathon

One of the largest and most controversial systems Fate 2 developer Bungie Added to the live service was the looter shooter content skip – a process that saw parts of older content removed from the game when new releases were released following the Beyond Light expansion in 2020.

The studio said the skipping had to be done to keep the game stable, though fans were still unhappy with the content skipping as a result, noting that no other long-running massively multiplayer games had to implement such a system. For many, this is considered an unacceptable removal of content they previously paid for, even though some vaulted content has been returned over time.
