In the past, Fitbit has measured cardio fitness with a “Cardio Fitness Score,” but it hasn’t been a key feature until now. With this public preview, VO2 Max, which measures how well your body uses oxygen during exercise, is now a full part of the AI training experience.
You can ask the trainer what VO2 Max means, how it’s improved, and what you can do to improve it. The app doesn’t just display the number; it explains what it means, puts it in context, and relates it to your habits.
So, for example, if your VO2 Max drops, a coach might suggest that it’s due to missed workouts or insufficient recovery. If it increases, the coach can show you what works, giving you clearer feedback instead of guessing.
