Gboard may finally solve one of the biggest frustrations with voice typing

Gboard is one of the best keyboard apps that you can easily install on your phone. Examining version 17.1.2 (beta) of the Gboard app, we found evidence that Google is working on support for voice input via Bluetooth devices. earphones and headphones.

This feature appears as a new setting in Gboard’s voice recording section. This allows you to switch from your phone’s microphone to the microphone on your connected Bluetooth device.

We were able to manually enable the feature and test it using the OnePlus Buds 3 and it worked as expected. Audio input is taken directly from the headset microphone instead of the phone.
