Google just announced Wear OS 6.1, and it adds the time zone feature I’ve wanted for years

Google quietly announced Wear OS 6.1 today, bringing a small but useful location-based time feature that probably should have come sooner.

Visually, Google hasn’t revealed any UI changes with Wear OS 6.1, but it has confirmed that the update is based. Android 16Quarterly Platform Release (QPR) at the API level 36.1. This is not the latest March Android 16 QPR3 updateon the other hand, Android 16 QPR2 builds from December 2025.
