
Steph Curry Google’s “Performance Consultant” and the basketball player teased a screen-less Fitbit band today.
according to Bloombergyou will get a “fitness band” and it will have “basic features” out of the box. Additional features will require a paid subscription, probably Fitbit Premium. It is manufactured “under the Fitbit brand”.
Curry posted an Instagram video this morning showing off the wearable. We see a fabric band (orange on the sides and light gray in the middle) and a cap. The clip talks about a “new relationship with your health” coming soon with a gradient ‘G’ logo appearing at the end.
Modern Fitbit trackers all have displays. We have to go back to 2016’s Flex 2 for a device with just a set of circular indicator lights.
Fitbit would compete with Whoop by going screenless. Today, the Inspire 3 is the cheapest tracker at $99.95.
With the launch of the personal health coach preview in October, Google said the new Fitbit device Coming in 2026. It remains to be seen if this group will be Fitbit’s only announcement this year, or if we’ll be getting a Charge 7.
This high level of indifference from Curry suggests a release will come sooner rather than later.
