OpenAI can be pull back in the video generation, but Google is one year ahead major AI update to its Vids editing product. The company’s latest video and audio models are already integrated with the tool, and you can choose from a variety of controlled avatars to appear in the generated videos. Sharing your creations on YouTube is now easier.
Veo 3.1 is the biggest part of the Vids upgrade. Google first implemented this updated model on Gemini end of last yearpromises a significant improvement in realism and consistency. While Google promotes Veo as a tool for filmmakers, it doesn’t even host Vids. Google Vids offers the use of artificial intelligence tools to create animated party flyers, business sizzle reels, or video greeting cards. You can use Vids for free, but you won’t be able to create many videos without an AI subscription.
Google Vids: Create videos with Veo 3.1.
If you don’t pay for any AI access in your account, you only get 10 video generations per month. AI Pro subscribers get 50 videos, and those who pay for Google’s affordable AI Ultra plan (individuals or businesses) get 1,000 videos per month. Like most other Veo apps, videos are eight seconds long and 720p resolution.
Google recently introduced Lyria music creation models are also now part of Vids. The latest version of this AI music maker doesn’t even require you to type the lyrics. You just tell the robot what vibe you want, and it creates a soulless 30-second or three-minute track. It’s not high art, but if you’re making an animated birthday card, it’s probably fine. As with video, AI subscribers have higher limits for AI music.
