During MWC 2026, Motorola made several important announcements: one related to the Moto Home, and another related to your security.
Wrapped up at MWC press, House of Moto Indigo announceda new “global brand color” that the company says was created in collaboration with Pantone. Motorola says Indigo is “a rich middle ground between blue and purple that feels both calm and powerful.” He adds that the colors consumers choose for their devices (if they enjoy them) represent a person and say something “about who we are before we say a word.”
Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, said after working with Pantone that indigo symbolizes “depth, intuition and thoughtful creativity.” It seems that Motorola and Pantone have found a valuable partnership between deep color and technology created by the past. Motorola adds that the Moto Indigo House is another step in a multi-year partnership with Pantone.
Consumers will see Indigo among Motorola’s products, experiences and innovations, the post added.
The other side of this great MWC announcement is from Motorola Collaboration with GrapheneOS. For those who don’t know, GrapheneOS provides security solutions for users globally. Motorola says that phone security will take a leap thanks to this partnership with GrapheneOS. Both are said to use Motorola’s “security expertise, real user data and Lenovo’s ThinkShield solutions” to do this.
The post teases what’s to come as Motorola prepares to work on a joint research project with GrapheneOS. Both companies will try to improve Motorola’s software by adding new security features. Motorola says it will provide more information as it becomes available.
Elsewhere, Moto says its Secure Platform is being expanded with “Private Photo Data.” With this, the company says, users will have control over the private information stored in their photos. If a user enables this, their device will “automatically remove sensitive metadata from all new camera images on the device, helping to protect details such as location and device information.”
MWC 2026 had some bright moments for Motorola as a company this year Razr Fold details revealed. The Razr Fold will debut with an 8.1-inch display with a 2K resolution. Its bezel display is 6.6 inches. Capturing your memories will be a trio of 50-megapixel cameras and a massive 6,000 mAh battery to keep you scrolling for hours. Motorola also confirmed that the Razr Fold will launch Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
That’s not all, as Motorola debuted Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus. These colorful headphones are looking to find a home in the $100 to $200 price range. The Plus model is said to have exclusive features like Sound by Bose and CrystalTalk AI and Audio Share.
I have to say I am a fan of Moto Indigo House. It’s a sick color. As Motorola says, it mixes cool tones of blues and purples into a color that’s easy on the eyes, at the same time (and not in a bad way). Indigo is bold without being overpowering, but subtle enough to make a statement. Now that Motorola has confirmed that this color will represent its innovations globally, I’m curious to see where and how it will progress.
