
OpenAI Sora, its standalone AI video creation software and social network, and the ability for developers to access the Sora 2 family of video models via an application programming interface (API) to rely on it for their own products or video production pipelines.
The the announcement came out of the blue this afternoon OpenAI posts a message on X and doesn’t give an exact shutdown date for services, but promises the opposite "timelines for the software and API, and details about protecting your work."

Based on today’s news, it’s unclear if that will happen in any way, or if OpenAI’s deal with Disney is still on the table. We’ve reached out to OpenAI for more information and will update if and when we get it.
