one the best new sci-fi shows in recent memory, To many, completed its first season made by paying for a joke – or what we think of as a joke Carol (Rhea Seehorn) a few episodes ago. As one of the very few humans yet to be inducted into a worldwide, alien-controlled hive mind, Carol realized that the “Others” had to give her. everything he wants This includes a live grenade that causes chaos during the delivery, and makes Carol wonder if there are any restrictions she can ask for.
We didn’t indeed I think Carol will end up with an atomic bomb. And when he first talks about it, he doesn’t really want it. But things change when he realizes that others may soon force him into the “Join”. The season ends with the giant box that Albuquerque is stuck in thrown away, and Carol informs one of her companions, Manousos (Carlos-Manuel Vesga), what’s inside.
Season two To many it’s likely to see Carol and Manousos set out to save the world in the best possible way, with a weapon of mass destruction in hand to back them up. But what exactly will that look like? In a recent interview Rolling Stoneshow creator Vince Gilligan and star Seehorn joked that To many can simply bypass the nuclear issue.
Gilligan referenced one of his previous shows, Breaking Badintroduced a machine gun hidden in the trunk of a car in its final season—which, he said, later proved difficult to incorporate into the story.
“I didn’t know what we were going to do with the machine gun in the trunk, but now I have confidence going forward in the second season. To many and never mention the atomic bomb,” Gilligan said. “So we’re going to do it.”
Taking the joke, Seehorn jumped in: “Let the box sit in the driveway!”
“People to forgetyou know,” Gilligan said before becoming more serious. “No, we have more ideas. Having said that, we figured it out and now we’re in the writers’ room and we’ve been apart for a few months now. And you think, “Yeah, we know what to do with that.” Then you enter this business and say, “we too indeed? Do we really know?’”
Gilligan added that he welcomes the challenge. And yes, To many the writers need time to figure out what’s next for Carol and make season two as satisfying as season one. But fans want to know… how a lot time?
“I don’t know,” Gilligan said. “We’re doing our best. It’s taking forever. I wish it was sooner. We appreciate everyone’s patience, more so as the months go by. But thank you for everyone who likes the show. Thank you for your patience. We appreciate it. We’re honest to God doing the best we can.”
