You get a laptop that looks, feels and works like a real Apple laptop. But like many Apple products in 2026, it doesn’t have a variety of ports. For better or worse, the MacBook Neo and Air only come with two USB-C ports. If you’re coming from a laptop with USB-A, HDMI, Ethernet and more ports, you might be surprised by the Neo’s lack of ports. One is the faster USB 3 port and the other is the slower USB 2 port. So USB-C hubs will be your best friend and the Kuxiu X53 can do it all. Not only do you get eight additional ports, but it’s also a high-quality stand that can be used as a desk mount or on the go. The included ports are:
- USB-C port for host connection supporting 100W PD charging and 10Gbps data rate
- USB-C port power input supporting up to 100W
- 2x USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports
- HDMI port (4K60)
- SD card slot
- MicroSD card slot
- 3.5 mm headphone jack
All of these ports are built into the actual arm of the stand. They’ve also included a really nice braided USB-C cable with an L-shaped end. It’s a great touch, so the cable doesn’t just stick out like an eyesore.
The stand itself is well built. There are two hinge points, both of which are quite strong. So you can go as low or as high off the table for any kind of viewing experience. Not only that, but the base rotates and has anti-slip silicone underneath so it won’t slip or slide on the surface it’s on. This makes it easy to set the angle you need, no matter the situation. The stand also weighs up to 13.2 pounds, so a 2.7-pound MacBook Neo will fit it.
My experience
It has definitely been the perfect companion for the MacBook Neo. What I like is that it can integrate into any situation. I’ve used it on my desk to elevate the Neon for better posture, and since it folds down completely, I’ve also brought it to the coffee shop. As someone who works from external storage and uses SD cards, this paired well with the X53. I can plug in a stand, insert my SD cards and SSD, and work from them with no problem. Since I’ve been using it with a MacBook Neo, the X53 ports have been fairly plentiful.
Outside of the port selection, the other part that caught my eye was the build quality. Made entirely of aluminum. It feels like a product that Apple would build. When you combine the materials with the strong hinges and swivel base it has, this stand excels in all situations I put it in. I wish they made a Thunderbolt version so I could take advantage of the Thunderbolt speeds on my MacBook Pro, but that would dramatically increase the price.
Overall, it feels like a very practical, easy-to-build MacBook accessory that just adds a ton of value.
