Robot vacuums can require a ‘hands-free’ experience and still require human intervention when they get stuck because the water isn’t hot enough, clogged with hair or need a deeper clean. Not so for Roborock’s Saros 20.
The Saros 20 is the culmination of engineering achievements by Roborock to create a robotic vacuum cleaner that can easily tackle any home environment. Vacuum makes incredible improvements to the company’s flagship lineup, bringing some subtle changes that go a long way.

It all starts with a new environmental exploration array. Powered by Roborock saros 20 with “StarSight Autonomous System 2.0” for faster mapping and obstacle recognition. Using dual-transmitter solid-state LiDAR, the Saros 20 vacuum cleaner can read rooms 21 times faster than traditional LDS sensors. In fact, it creates an accurate 3D map of the house, marking furniture and obstacles as small as 3 cm wide/high.
A new sensor array and smaller profile allow the 3.13-inch robotic cleaner to slide into inaccessible areas that were previously a nightmare to clean. Since there is no LDS sensor on top, the vacuum can clear the restrictor gaps and still get an accurate reading to avoid wires and anything else hiding underneath.
Underneath the robot is a new lift system that changes everything from the height of the wheels to the entire chassis. The AdaptLift Chassis 3.0 is designed to exceed height limits with a new set of small, auxiliary wheels that pop out to lift the robot over raised floors of about 2 inches. The Saros 20 can climb even small sets of stairs, as long as the rungs are successively shorter than 1.77 inches and then 1.69 inches.

If it gets stuck on wires or other obstacles, Roborock’s Saros 20 can get back on track without anyone’s help. A new lift system allows the bot to change the height of individual or combined wheels to get out of traffic. This is a huge improvement over vacuum cleaners that often get tangled in cables and dog toys.
With Roborock’s AI integration, the Saros 20 is one of the few vacuum cleaners equipped to clean carpets autonomously. These new height-changing wheels allow you to find the perfect height for cleaning carpets without the bot getting stuck. There are 8 height settings that are automatically selected with Adaptive Lift mode.
As for capabilities, the Saros 20 can handle itself well. Adaptive stain and dirt recognition activates the 36,000Pa motor and 200RPM mop pads. This, combined with tight coverage and a tangle-free coil, means the bot can easily tackle any mess quickly. SmartPlan 3.0 empowers decision-making and allows users to adjust the vacuum’s cleaning habits based on human habits.
When all is said and done, the Saros 20’s docking station keeps the vacuum fresh for the next run. One of the cooler, quieter features is hidden in the new station. When the robot is vacuuming and not sweeping, the station will clean the mop pads again to avoid wetting the carpets. That’s one less thing to mess with on a daily basis.
The dock also holds water up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit, removing dirt and grease from previous wiping jobs.

Roborock’s flagship Saros 20 proves to be one of the most capable robot vacuums available.
