The Samsung Galaxy S26 series it hit the market a little earlier this year, and although it hasn’t been out for a long time, several issues have already been reported. Most of the issues are actually related to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, although a few issues are universally applicable to the entire family.
In this guide, we’ll take a look at some of the currently known issues, as well as any possible fixes. Please note that some issues are currently unfixed, although we will update the guide whenever these issues are resolved.
Editor’s note: It should be remembered that not every Samsung Galaxy S26 series smartphone will have these problems. In fact, you may not encounter any problems at all.

Problem 1: Display and other display problems

Hadlee Simons / Android Authority
Quite a number of Galaxy S26 Ultra users have reported issues with the display. This includes blurry text, dimming issues, and general eye discomfort from use. Samsung is currently investigating the issue and hopefully will fix it with the next software updates.
In the meantime, you’ll find that there are a few potential fixes that might help. In fact, it is worth combining multiple solutions as well, as it can help in some cases.
Potential solutions:
- Turn off Privacy Screen: This function should control the brightness of specific pixels on the screen that may be part of the problem. Go to arrange things Settings > Display > Privacy Screen. If there is Maximum privacy protection if enabled, we recommend turning it off to see if it makes a difference.
- Set up the Eye Comfort Shield: This feature is supposed to help protect your eyes from strain. go away Settings > Display and tap Eye comfort protector. This might make enough of a difference to fix the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s current issues.
- Use the Additional Dim Parameter: go Settings > Accessibility > Visual Enhancements. You will be able to switch from here Additional Dim modethis can be helpful if your eyes are sensitive to bright light.
Problem 2: Android Auto errors and bugs

Andy Walker / Android Authority
Android Auto problems are very common in all Android devices, especially if you are using Android Auto Wireless. The new Galaxy S26 series is no exception, although this time the problem is a bit more persistent. There are reports of Reddit few users have tried the usual troubleshooting methods, but it’s very possible that this is a wider Android problem.
Most likely, this is a temporary bug that requires you to wait for Google or Samsung to fix it. However, it doesn’t hurt to try some of the more general solutions below, as it may still help for some users.
Potential solutions:
- Android Auto Wireless won’t connect? Try a wired connection first. Some users have problems working wirelessly without first setting up a wired connection. After that, some users report that they can use Android Auto Wireless normally.
- Have you used Smart Switch to root your Galaxy S26? If so, you should clear your app cache and memory. go away Settings > Apps > Android Auto > Storage and tap Clear the cache and Clear memory.
- The problem may be with your cable.
- Make sure the cable is not torn, frayed or otherwise damaged: If possible, test with other devices and change if necessary.
Problem 3: Potential overheating problems

Paul Jones / Android Authority
While the Galaxy S24 had its fair share of overheating issues, it was less of an issue with the Galaxy S25 series. The same story happens with the Galaxy S26 family, only one a few isolated reports of issues until now.
The truth is that while overheating shouldn’t be a big problem, modern Snapdragon chips can generate quite a bit of heat during intensive use, such as when playing graphics-heavy games.
If you experience any recurring overheating issues, the solutions below are probably your best bets so far.
Potential solutions:
- Wait for software updates: If Samsung feels that overheating is a significant reported problem, it will make further optimizations in the software to improve the problem.
- Reset the device to factory settings. Although unlikely, sometimes installation errors can cause your phone to behave strangely. If your phone is unbearably hot, we recommend trying a factory reset.
- Contact Samsung for warranty replacement: If you feel like your phone is overheating, it might be a good idea to contact Samsung. It could be a hardware problem affecting your device and a simple replacement can solve the problem.
Problem 4: Problems reaching maximum Ultra wireless charging speed

Paul Jones / Android Authority
Despite theoretically offering wireless charging speeds of up to 25W, many users struggle to actually achieve this with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Many third-party and official Samsung chargers cannot reach the maximum speed, the phone often drops to 10W or 15W instead.
Even dbrand’s own support talking about incompatibilities with some of its products, noting that even Samsung’s own $50 wireless charger can only achieve such speeds under very specific conditions, including requiring a 45W charger, which Samsung’s accessory doesn’t come with out of the box.
So what is the solution to this problem? It turns out that there is no such thing as a clean fix. Some brands like Spigen reportedly have several variants that can reach 25W. But it will mostly be a game of trial and error. Hopefully Samsung offers a fix for this issue in the future, although it’s hard to tell if it’s a software or hardware issue.
Problem 5: Camera condensation on Galaxy 26 Ultra

Zac Kew-Dennis / Android Authority
I have the Galaxy S26 Ultra collected a number of reports, including one ice universe, Around Galaxy S26 Ultra camera lens fogging issues. Condensation quickly turns a great camera experience sour.
Unfortunately, this is a case sealing defect and not something that can be easily fixed without a service center visit or replacement. Even if the problem is not permanent, we recommend not waiting for this problem as it can cause long-term damage to the cameras.
