Starting today, Spotify is rolling out a refreshed Wear OS app experience. Confirming our report, Spotify on Wear OS now comes with a gesture-based navigation system.
Users can swipe down on the app’s home screen to access an immersive view with a large album art. A single tap on this screen plays or pauses the music, a double tap skips to the next track.
Users can swipe up on the home screen to access discovery-based features such as Home, Search, Library and Downloads to view and start playing new content. The splash screen also allows users to manage playback queues, set a sleep timer or access an extended context menu.
Spotify says the new update will roll out in the coming days. Users should make sure they have the latest version of the Spotify on Wear OS app from the Google Play Store to get the new experience. The company also promises more improvements to Wear OS in the coming months.
