Google has cracked the code to make Android’s Quick Share feature work with Apple’s AirDrop, and the list of compatible devices continues to grow. Here’s every Android device currently compatible with AirDrop.
In November 2025, Google presented a surprise AirDrop support via Quick Share on the Pixel 10 series. The feature was created without Apple’s understanding and works on iPhones, iPads, and even MacBooks. Over the past few months, it has been expanding with the Pixel 9 series of devices added in Februaryand Samsung models that add support March and April.
Since contact sharing does not work across platforms, both parties must switch their devices to “Everyone” mode. Once the recipient does this, their device should immediately be visible to nearby Android phones that want to share files, photos, videos, or anything else.
The process is pretty seamless from there, working like you’d expect AirDrop or Quick Share to work in the first place.
AirDrop is always on on Pixel devices, but Samsung is adding a switch to make the feature optional.

As mentioned, this is all device dependent for now. You’ll have to wait for your Android device to be compatible with AirDrop, as there are only a few at the moment. There are some Android devices They have developed solutions similar to AirDrop like a break, but they are not the same thing.

When will my Android phone get AirDrop support?
Google has been rolling out AirDrop support to Android devices on a model-by-model basis. Because of this, older Pixel phones are not yet supported, and Samsung also has a limited list of supported models. But it looks like the walls will come down soon.
in March, Oppo said reasons that it will roll out AirDrop support in the near future, and while the initial timeline hasn’t happened, the company has a reason to say it’s coming.
Which models will or won’t be supported remains a mystery at this point. It’s not clear if there are specific hardware requirements, but it’s clear that there are at least software requirements to enable AirDrop support. So, if your Android phone is missing OS updates or not on Android 16, chances are probably a little lower.
We’ll be updating this list as more devices are added, so check back!
