I Tested more than 50 iPhone 17 Pro casesbut Selfix is like none of these; Presented as a selfie box, you get a 1.6-inch OLED display on the back, which lets you take selfies using the rear cameras. It’s interesting enough that I had to test it out, and after using the case for the better part of a month, it’s legitimately great.
That’s how it works is currently crowdsourcedand you can get it for as low as $79, which doesn’t cost much more than usual. you can get the job with iPhone 17 Pro or the Pro Max variants, and since I have the Pro model, this is the one I’m using. Either way, the case is larger than most iPhone 17 Pro cases I’ve tested, and that’s understandable considering it adds a second screen to the phone. What I like the most is the ease of use; you don’t need to install additional software to use the case — it uses USB-C to mirror output to the rear display.

The best thing about the Selfix case is that it doesn’t block MagSafe; thanks to the circular design and the ring that covers the screen, you can continue to use MagSafe accessories even with the case installed.

The case even gets a touch screen from the back that allows access to the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera controls. Another interesting addition is the MicroSD slot, and you can insert a MicroSD card up to 2TB and easily transfer data from the iPhone 17 Pro’s internal storage to the case. While the MicroSD standard isn’t as fast as external SSDs, it’s a good solution if you just want to free up storage on your iPhone.
As the case is connected to the iPhone’s USB-C port, you need to use the dedicated USB-C port on the case to charge your iPhone with pass-through charging. I used a 65W USB PD charger and had no problems and would suggest using at least a 45W charger with the case.
To save battery, the case turns off after five minutes of idle mode, and there is a special button on the side that allows you to turn it back on.
Overall, I really like the idea of Selfix work; the ability to take selfies with the rear camera gives the case a unique advantage, and this does not take into account the ability to expand the memory of the iPhone 17 Pro. with ten days left for crowdfundingif you’re wondering what the Selfix box has to offer, now is the best time to get it.
