Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25, 2016 – 10 years)

At the center of this conflict is Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), a master manipulator who gained something from the battle between Batman and Superman. On the plus side, Affleck’s portrayal of the hardened Bruce Wayne is quite effective. Apart from a few action sequences, Dawn of justice It’s a chaotic mess that accelerates the development of the Justice League and coincides with the emergence of doomsday. still, Dawn of justice it’s a curious relic from when superhero movies began to rise to the top of pop culture.

Bradley Cooper takes the magic pill
In my best Bill Simmons voice”Number 16, Boundless.” Although on the list of rewatchable films of the 21st century, Boundless is an important action film because it proved that Bradley Cooper could carry a film outside The Hangover franchise. Cooper plays Eddie Morra, an uninspired writer in the midst of a downward spiral. Needing a creative reset, Eddie tries a new drug called NZT-48. The nootropic dramatically increases Eddie’s cognitive functions, leading to major improvements in his life.
Business tycoon Carl Van Loon (Robert De Niro) sees Eddie’s newfound skills and hires Eddie to make him millions. However, Eddie begins to relapse and must deal with the deadly side effects of NZT-48. Boundless it’s not perfect, but it’s an entertaining sci-fi thriller featuring Cooper’s magnetic performance. Many dinner parties can lend Boundless For causing countless debates about NZT-48 and whether people would actually take it if it existed.
Inside Man (March 24, 2006 – age 20)
You can’t go wrong with Spike Lee and Denzel Washington
When it comes to tandems, the partnership between Spike Lee and Denzel Washington is in the upper echelon. By 2006, Lee and Washington had collaborated three times: Mo’ Better Blues, Malcolm Xand He’s Got Game. All three deliver some of their best work as artists. When Lee and Washington teamed up in 2006, the streak of successful collaboration continued. Inside Mana New York City crime thriller revolving around a bank robbery.
Detective Keith Frazier (Washington) must negotiate with a group of criminals who have taken over a Manhattan bank. Their brilliant leader is Dalton Russell (Clive Owen), who is always one step ahead of Frazier. Inside Man best quality is his intelligence – intelligence, not violence, drives this clever bank heist. Inside Man one of two feature films directed by Lee that he did not write the screenplay for. Part of him wishes Lee was a director for hire, so he could make more movies Within man, Hollywood would be a better place.
Memory (March 16, 2001 – 25 years old)
Christopher Nolan messing with our minds – a tale as old as time
Christopher Nolan It has been giving audiences mental pretzels for nearly 30 years. Count me as one of those consumers who leaves Nolan movies with more questions than answers. I still love the man and will always come back for more craziness. Memory It’s the first time Nolan has challenged the audience on a mainstream level.
Leonard Shelby (Guy Pearce) suffers from anterograde amnesia. It’s not an ideal situation, especially when trying to solve his wife’s murder. Instead of his memory, Leonard often uses notes, photographs and tattoos to help piece together clues. If that wasn’t confusing enough, Nolan tells the story in two timelines: chronological and reverse. Nolan is a genius, then Memory the climax where everything clicks, slams into your face like a brick.
Fargo (March 8, 1996 – age 30)
There’s more to life than a little money, you know
The Coen Brothers always manage to find humor in the darkest of situations. It doesn’t get any sadder than when a kidnapping scheme turns into a criminal investigation. Desperate for money, Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy) hires two criminals (Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare) to kidnap his wife. Jerry believes that his wife’s wealthy father (Harve Presnell) will pay a large ransom and plans to collect the money and end his debt problems.
Like many ill-conceived schemes, all hell breaks loose—the thugs kill a state trooper and two foot soldiers. This brings benevolent, pregnant police chief Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand) into the fold. The Coen Brothers’ script is equal parts funny and violent. McDormand, who won an Oscar for Best Actress, is a breath of fresh air, injecting humanity and decency into this empty story.
