‘Fast Forever’ Is Finally On Its Way

After three years of false starts, Fast Forever is on the way to reality.

Ahead of the weekend, star and franchise producer Vin Diesel took to Instagram to announce the start of production, where “people are rocking and incredible crews are working.” Diesel has always been the public face of the franchise, and that’s even more true Forever. From the air Complaints with Universal for promises a release datehe hyped up the movie when it looked like it wasn’t going to happen even without some potential creative and financial incentives did

In his video, Diesel thanked “the best fans in the world” for being patient with the news since then Fast X It premiered in 2023. “You’ve been patient with the industry and the studio and you’ve been patient with me,” he said. “For the last three and a half years, we have been working hard to make the most amazing final. (…) Know that I hope to make you all proud.”

As of last January, Fast Forever will see franchise vets Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot return. There are question marks over who else will return from the last film, including Sung Kang and Nathalie Emmanuel, who played Han and Ramsey. (Those two were with Roman and Tej on the plane that crashed.) Likewise, whether or not this movie will bring back Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker), or whatever Diesel promised in 2025, is anyone’s guess.

Most likely, these questions will be answered in time Fast Forever It will be shown in cinemas on March 17, 2028.
