Apple TV’It works‘ premiered in 2020 without much fanfare, but quickly became a fan favorite.
Starring Esther Smith (Hold your breath) and Rafe Spall (Shaun of the Dead), the show ended its fourth season in July 2024, but fans had to wait until May 2025 to finally confirm its return for a fifth season.
The season premiere episode is now available to Apple TV subscribers, with new episodes available every Wednesday until August 26.

In season five, Nikki (Smith) and Jason (Spall) deal with the aftermath of Princess and Tyler’s biological mother, Kat (Charlotte Riley), arriving on their doorstep and the whirlwind of chaos she brings to their settled family life.
The season lineup also includes Darren Boyd (Cemetery Road), Siân Brooke (Blue Lights), Celia Imrie (Thursday Crime Club), Phil Davis (Harry Potter and the Prince of Blood), Gbemisola Ikumelo (Black Ops) and Colin Morgan (Belfast).
