Tap on a note can be accessed from the three-dot menu on any Google Keep note. You can then type the query into the search box and Keep will highlight all instances where the query appears in the record. This can be useful when trying to find information in a long record.

Keep now has a search option that finds content in all notes. However, this feature does not specify exactly what information the user may be searching for, and simply reveals all records that contain the search terms.
