Virtual tryouts have been around for a while, but the idea of being able to change your appearance takes it up a few notches with the latest AI technologies. This isn’t one basic virtual testing feature I’m talking about, but several features available on any premium Android phone or feature phones.
There are three in particular that I use and enjoy. First, there is Google Circle for Searchit’s improved to make it easier to find not just clothing items one at a time, but all at once. The second is Google’s Try On app, which helps you visualize how you’ll look in a certain outfit before you hit the “buy now” button when shopping online. Finally, Photo Assist has it Samsung Galaxy S26 seriesit allows you to change photos with personalized prompts and works incredibly well.
Circle to Search can identify every item for clothing
With Google Circular to searchAvailable on many of the latest Android phones from brands like Google, Samsung and OnePlus, you can circle the image to learn more about it. But now you can learn about multiple items at onceA new feature launched with the Galaxy S26 series.

After circling or highlighting a person’s photo, the Find Image option opens. Tap on it and you’ll see where you can buy every item they’re wearing, from the top to pants, shoes, hats, purses, and other visible and identifiable accessories.
I tried this with a photo from the Netflix series “Emily in Paris” that wanted to replicate Emily’s killer blue pantsuit. I found results that made it easy to find a similar blazer, wide-leg pants, pointy-toe shoes, and a fun, patterned purse.
Using the image of actor Walton Goggins, I was able to find all of his cool and casual looks, or at least things close to it. If you’re scrolling through Instagram and see a look you love on a celebrity or influencer, even in an ad, it’s a great way to search for similar items for a quick purchase.
Google Try On lets you try before you buy
Another relatively new feature Try Googlewas officially launched in the US last summer and eventually came to Canadawhere I am located, in October 2025. It allows you to virtually try on clothing from participating retail stores.
First, take a head-to-toe photo of your body wearing something that reflects the natural curves of your body. Stay in a neutral pose with your hands at your sides. Once you’ve uploaded an image, it’s saved for quick and easy testing, but you can replace it at any time.
It works well, though, as it makes you wear all the clothes from the model, including the pants if you want to see the top or vice versa. Nevertheless, you get a good idea of what the item will look like.
Once you find an item that works with Google Try On, you’ll see a Try On icon in the list (if it’s not there, it means the item or retailer isn’t available for this feature). Tap it, upload your full body shot if it’s your first time, or simply wait for your existing photo to be analyzed. Within seconds, the dress will appear on you virtually, so you can get an idea of how it looks.
Available in the Samsung Galaxy S26 line, including Premium Samsung Galaxy S26 UltraThe enhanced Photo Assist has some wild capabilities. It works like other generative AI programs, allowing you to write a query that tells you exactly what you want to do in a photo.
I had a lot of fun trying to hack it, but 90% of the time it worked. You can do things like change the color of the blouse from green to blue, swap the sweater for a shirt, add a hat, sunglasses, boots, and even remove the socks!
You can even add a photo to the request field, which will create a sticker from another photo in your gallery. This is ideal for when you see someone with an outfit or item of clothing you like and happen to see a photo you have saved in your Gallery. If you want to know more about what Galaxy AI extracted from the photo, you can tap on it Select again Click the button on the other image to draw around the item of clothing you want. The AI will naturally insert it into the photo, like a hat or shirt, though your results may vary.
I used the same image I took for the Google Try On feature as a base, then tried to design it. So I could easily see how I could easily switch it up with a denim jacket with an ankle length pea coat or pointed toe heels with knee high boots. For men, it can be anything from the color of your tie (or adding it in the first place) to the style of your blazer and shoes. This is a useful hack that saves you from spending hours changing clothes in front of the mirror.
Planning outfits is easier than ever
Some of these features are available best android phoneshelps you plan your outfits in many ways. With Circle to Search, you can use clothes you’ve seen on actors in TV shows or online ads for inspiration and easily find the same or similar items to replicate the look.
Get an idea of what an item of clothing will look like on you before you click “add to cart” with Google’s Try On feature. With Photo Assist on Samsung Galaxy S26 series phones, you can create a look from a sample photo to decide what to remove from your existing wardrobe or buy a new one to complete the look. After researching this article, I am looking for a beige pea coat to add to my wardrobe!
Whether you’re wondering what to wear to an event or looking for inspiration, any and all of these three features help you virtually visualize your look. Of course, it’s not like actually trying anything. But from styles to colors and overall look, these features can give you a good idea.
