What you need to know
- A leak claims that a certification database in South Korea highlights the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus in a live image.
- The image shows the tablet’s screen, which looks incredibly similar to the Tab S11 with its large bezels.
- Other rumors claim that the Tab S12 Ultra’s battery will be unchanged from the S11 Ultra, along with a leaked animation that ditches the camera notch in favor of a hole-punch camera.
Another wave of Samsung Galaxy tablets is expected in late 2026. A report has surfaced stating that a model has received an important certification.
SammyGuru reports that the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus has appeared for certification in the Safety Korea database. Through this listing, the publication discovered what might be our first look at the tablet’s design. Safety Korea only highlights the (alleged) front of the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus. Badge S11. The tablet has a rounded corner design like the previous generation series.
However, what we don’t see is a change in its display design. More precisely, these are frames. The leaked photo shows the Tab S12 Plus with fairly thick bezels on all four sides. According to SammyGuru, the selfie camera is also “placed inside the frame”.
That’s the good news – not the frames, but the Security Korea look. As noted in the article, its appearance likely indicates that the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and its S12 Ultra sibling are on schedule to launch in 2026. We expect this tablet series to debut in September, similar to the S11 series. The publication touches 91 Mobileas people there discovered the series’ alleged model numbers in the BIS database in India (another major certification hurdle passed).

Android Central’s Take
This Tab S12 Plus leak is kind of disappointing. It would even be nice to see this model with a hole-punch camera and thinner bezels. Who knows. Maybe Samsung will surprise us. It’s not time to start yet (yes, I’m getting over it). I hope the Tab S12 Ultra brings that sleeker, cleaner look that I’ve come to expect from Samsung’s tablets.
We have various rumors about the Galaxy Tab S12 series, most of which arrived within the last month. A pair of tablets is suspected this year; However, the Ultra’s battery can leave a lot to be desired. The Tab S12 Ultra was rumored to have the same 11,600mAh battery as the S11 Ultra. Plus, Samsung can treat it with the same 45W charging capabilities.
In terms of design, the S12 Ultra could see a 14.6-inch display (same as the S11 Ultra), Android 17 and more later this year. The screen has been brought up again for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab A UI 9 test program animations demonstrated a device without the ugly selfie camera. The animation was teased with a tablet with a pinhole camera instead of a camera notch. It sounds like a pipe dream, but it’s unclear if (or when) Samsung will debut such a Galaxy Tab.
