OnePlus has been on the ropes for a while, but the end of an era is officially here, with reports suggesting the company is set to pull out of the US and Europe altogether. If you’re a long-time fan, it’s time to start planning your OnePlus switch.

Every new OnePlus phone has brought excitement because the company has really tried to cater to the true blue Android nerd. Incredible specifications, strong pricing and simply great value packages. The days of “never settle” are well and truly over. All signs point to OnePlus It leaves the US, Europe and many other global markets this weekif you want to make the switch, you really need to start thinking about it.

Getting the phones outside of China will be hard to recommend in the not-too-distant future. While it’s understandable for a company to change its business strategy, the way OnePlus handled the transition was nothing short of insane. The lack of clear communication is the most frustrating element of this entire saga.

It’s worth noting that some existing OnePlus devices are still slated to receive updates for the near future. As part of Oppo and because the company uses as ColorOS Essentially, in theory, support for OxygenOS shouldn’t be a problem. However, it’s unclear how the company will handle potential software updates or how consistent they will be.

Personally, I think it’s a great shame because the last few OxygenOS updates haven’t been bad at all – save for that annoying Liquid Glass clone that everyone outside of Google seems to be trying to do.
