Wuthering Waves is a fairly popular gacha game that was previously released on PC and PlayStation is finally making its way to Xbox. Unfortunately for fans, the Xbox release didn’t quite live up to expectations. Players are calling developer Kuro Games to resolve a series of technical issues with a user, @ClebsAlexandre on X (formerly Twitter)demonstrates how rough the game looks Xbox Series X.
The footage highlights what appear to be sharp texture pop-in, graphical glitches, missing shadows, and very low quality settings, leading some fans to speculate that the Xbox version may have been built using the mobile version of the game as a base.
I have to admit, I’m not into gacha games myself, but it’s really disappointing to see how poor the game looks on Xbox, especially when the PlayStation version looks functional and better, at least according to some users.
I highly doubt this is an Xbox hardware issue. We know the Xbox Series X and yes, even the S Series are more than capable machines. Instead, I suspect something simply went wrong with the port, and I hope it’s something Kuro Games can address in a future update.
Fans at X are understandably disappointed. A user wrote“Thanks so much for the low settings mobile gaming experience on Xbox!“That said, while researching the issue, I came across a handful PlayStation 5 players reporting similar issues suggest that this may not be entirely isolated to Xbox.
Nevertheless, I hope Kuro Games can fix these issues. Right now, the Xbox version looks and performs well below what you’d expect from a modern title, especially on the Series X.
If you’re playing Wuthering Waves on Xbox, let me know how it works for you. Are you satisfied with his performance or are you disappointed like many players on the internet? Be sure to leave a comment below, and as always, don’t forget to take our poll!
