Some interesting carrier offers for Samsung’s new foldable devices

AT&T

Starting with the most discussed folding of the lot, AT&T sells Galaxy Z Fold 8 Eligible trades for $0 and Z Fold 8 Ultra $1,900 off similar arrangement.

Likewise, customers can save $1,000 Galaxy Z Flip 8also with a trade. The carrier is also offering eligible customers a Galaxy Watch 9 or Galaxy Tab A11+ 5G for $1.99 per month each. AT&T says it will offer 50% off any Samsung accessory when you buy a Galaxy flagship.

Verizon

Big Red offers 256GB Galaxy Z Fold 8 $30 per month for 48 months, subject to carrier registration the new Simplicity Planthough Verizon says you don’t need to trade in another device.

On the other hand, it will offer to add a new line or upgrade to the Simplicity Plan Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra For $35 per month for 48 months, $420 off the $2,100 foldable price tag.

Separately, trading in an eligible device on the carrier’s Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plans will entitle customers to a $1,100 discount on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 or its Ultra sibling.

Customers can also get the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Tab S10 FE at no cost when they buy a new Samsung device or bring their own device to Verizon. Similarly, getting a new Verizon line on your Android phone will qualify you for a free Galaxy Watch 9 or the more powerful Galaxy Watch 8 Ultra for $8 a month.

To sweeten the deal even more, Verizon is giving away six months of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ (with ads) to eligible Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra buyers on its network.

Giving Verizon a good run for its launch money, T-Mobile offers Galaxy Z Fold 8 and his Ultra Get $1,900 off via invoice credit when you trade in an eligible device on Experience Beyond and Go5G Next plans. That means the Z Fold 8 can be yours for nothing, and the Z Fold 8 Ultra will set you back just $200.

Likewise, Galaxy Z Flip 8 Experience More, Experience Beyond, and Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plans can be yours for just $100, $1,100 off when you add a new line or trade in a device.

As for the new wearables, T-Mobile will offer Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 270 dollars or Galaxy Watch 9 free as part of Watch Plan Plus in the form of monthly payment credits for two years. The carrier said it will offer a 25% discount on a bundle that includes a screen protector, case and an unspecified version of the Samsung Buds. But this pack will be available only on July 30.

We’re still getting to know the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra before our extensive review of the foldables. Samsung has introduced some decent hardware upgrades for its flagships, e.g long overdue upgrades to charging rates.

All carriers are now accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, which will be available in stores starting August 7. We expect deliveries to begin around the same time in August, if not earlier.
