EA will launch EA Sports FC 27 worldwide on September 25, 2026, using Real Madrid teammates Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham as cover stars. EA today revealed the game’s cover, first gameplay look, and edit lineup, confirming that it will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Switch 1, and Switch 2.
Mbappe was featured on the cover of the Standard and Ultimate editions earlier in the week. According to EA, the new reveal adds Bellingham alongside him in the limited-time Ultimate Plus Edition – his third appearance on the cover of EA Sports FC.

This year’s title change is a new mode that EA describes as a “social soccer pitch” that expands the Clubs experience from random shots to competitive play across three districts with in-game mentors including Mbappé, Chloe Kelly, Paulo Dybala and Alex Hunter. There’s an important caveat: EA says The Grounds and Clubs only works on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch 2. If you’re still on PS4, Xbox One, or the original Switch, you won’t get this mode at all.
EA is also promising a revamped Career transfer market “powered by TransferRoom” where player values respond to a club’s buying power, potential, ratings and form, plus an all-new FUT Gallery to manage sets of player items to level up the Gallery and earn rewards. In each mode, the company touts community-driven gameplay changes like dynamic corners, stronger attack awareness, and rebalanced AI defense. These are all EA’s own descriptions for now; none confirmed in independent playtesting.
It is worth reading the monetization structure closely before pre-ordering. EA says the Ultimate Plus Edition is only available until August 31st and includes five monthly discounts, Premium Tickets for Seasons 1 to 5, a FUT Player Choice Hall and a collection of up to 10,000 FC Points spread across cross-title content for EA SPORTS FC 26, sold separately. The sum of these points comes in rows: EA states that you must complete the initial payment steps by June 1, 2027, and after September 26, 2027, the redemption points are completely lost.
Early access is as level as ever. Ultimate and Ultimate Plus buyers get up to seven days early access starting September 18. EA Play members get a 10-hour trial from the same date, and EA Play Pro members get first-day access to the Pro Edition with Ultimate Edition content. EA’s rules and help pages are also clear that FC Points should only be purchased through official channels, and that coin sales and outside distribution may result in sanctions – a standing policy that existed prior to the game.
EA did not publish regional pricing for the UAE or Saudi markets at this announcement, so hold off on any speculation about local costs until the store pages are released. On the authenticity front, EA boasts over 21,000 players, over 800 clubs and national teams, over 130 stadiums and over 35 leagues, including the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, LALIGA EA SPORTS and several women’s competitions.
Pre-orders are now open. The more useful question for most players is whether The Grounds and the revamped Career market justifies another full-price release, and that’s something no cover reveal can answer – wait for hands-on impressions before jumping on the Ultimate Plus Edition and its expiring FC Points.
