Apple just hosted a September event, it announced iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, Apple Watch Series 10, AirPods 4and more. At the iPhone 16 keynote, Apple said the new devices have larger batteries, but did not touch on the specifications. Now we can see the battery life stats suggest hours of extra battery.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max now gives you up to 33 hours of video playback, while its smaller sibling, the 16 Pro, stretches it to 27 hours. The iPhone 16 Plus also lasts for 27 hours for video, and even the regular iPhone 16 lasts up to 22 hours.
If you’re concerned with audio, the Pro Max leads the way again with an amazing 105 hours of playback, while the others offer anywhere between 80 and 100 hours, depending on the model.

How does iPhone 16 battery compare to iPhone 15?
The biggest jump in battery life comes with the Pro models. The iPhone 16 Pro Max gets an additional 4 hours of video playback, up from 29 hours to 33 hours compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Audio playback also increases by 10 hours from 95 to 105.
The iPhone 16 Pro follows a similar trend, with video playback going from 23 hours to 27 hours, and audio playback going from 75 hours to 85 hours.
For the iPhone 16 Plus, the difference is more subtle. Video playback lasts 26 to 27 hours, while audio remains stable at 100 hours, the same as the iPhone 15 and 14 Plus.
The standard iPhone 16 offers significant improvements over its predecessors, with video playback up to 22 hours – 2 hours more than the iPhone 15 and 14, and 3 hours more than the iPhone 13. Audio playback remains the same at 80 hours on the iPhone 15 and 14, but it still beats the iPhone 13’s 75 hours.
