Samsung’s first triple-decker phone wasn’t supposed to be a blockbuster hit, but it looks like the company is already planning an even bigger successor. It is reported that Samsung has started work on the second generation Galaxy Z TriFoldit’s probably slated for 2027, and the company might be ready to sell it to more people this time around.

Korean edition ETNews reports that Samsung has already shared details of the new device with its component partners, indicating that development is well underway ahead of its launch. While details on the hardware are still scarce, the report suggests that the next TriFold will likely retain the same screen size as the current model. The hardware is not that exciting, but Samsung’s manufacturing strategy is interesting.
