Henson also returns as Foggy, likely in cameo flashback sequences (we got a glimpse of him. extended teaser decreased last month). There are rumors, but no official confirmation, that Jon Bernthal will also return as Frank Castle/The Punisher. The biggest addition is of course Ritter’s Jessica Jones, but Matthew Lillard also joins the cast as a mysterious power player named Mr. Charles, along with Lily Taylor as New York Governor Marge McCaffrey, Fisk’s political rival.
The S1 finale saw Fisk make a major power move by declaring martial law in New York and outlawing the masked vigilante heroes. The second season takes place six months later and will naturally deal with the fallout from this momentous decision.
