Google’s press release this afternoon (July 29) highlights its newest AI music generation model, the Lyria 3.5. According to the company, this should “ensure higher quality song generation”. Next blog post Lyria went on to state that 3.5 improved the model’s “musicality, lyrics and vocal quality”. As for AI musicality, Google says users can create more complex sounds that feel more “natural.”
Rapid compatibility and structural awareness are two key areas of focus for Lyria 3.5, which Google says it is focusing on. Of course, the former should help keep the AI on topic and avoid words that have nothing to do with your offer. Finally, Lyria 3.5’s vocals are said to offer “more expression,” along with updates to the AI’s pronunciation.

All of this is wrapped up in Lyria 3.5’s updated creative management system. Google says users can control the tempo and duration of a song a little easier than before. Users will find options to change the vocals, drums and bass of an AI-generated song. Moreover, the length of the track can now be from 30 seconds to three minutes.
