What you need to know
- A major leak has surfaced with some alleged images of Motorola’s Razr Ultra 2026.
- The images show that the device will remain the same as what consumers buy in 2025; however, since it is somewhat thicker, there is speculation that internal improvements are possible.
- The Razr Ultra 2025, despite looking almost identical to the Razr Plus 2025, offered a higher-end setting for consumers.
We’re getting closer to that time of year when Motorola’s next foldable device debuts, and this rumor is getting real about its appearance.
The tipster came forward with OnLeaks XpertPick To highlight some alleged renders for Motorola’s Razr 70 Ultra, aka Razr Ultra 2026. The images give us a decent look at what the next foldable device could offer in terms of design. The bezel display, which is said to be 4 inches in size, still doesn’t let down its bezels, as they create a generous border around the screen. A horizontal dual camera array with an LED flash on the side is expected.
The 7-inch internal display looks largely the same as what we’ve seen before. Allegedly, the bezels for this internal display remain open, meaning Motorola may not be interested in making it thinner in 2026. Rumors from OnLeaks show the phone in a brushed silver (sort of) color. Brushed marks are mostly visible on the back panel.

Android Central’s Take
I wonder what the design change will look like for the Razr Ultra, or the Razr in general. It is a solid phone as it stands. One thing I would like to see is a slightly wider display for both the internal and external displays. I think the frames are quite large. I know it’s hard to lose weight because we have a hinge mechanism and it can take a little more work. But for its cover screen, I’d like to see a smooth, bezel-less display.
We may not be expecting a major design change for the Razr Ultra 2026, as these renders suggest the phone looks the same. Razr Ultra 2025. However, OnLeaks claims there may be changes elsewhere. The upcoming version is said to be slightly thicker than its soon-to-be predecessor. When opened, the difference is 0.6 mm.
The claim has led to speculation that Motorola could be working on a battery upgrade or perhaps a camera upgrade. OnLeaks hasn’t shared any details on its specifications, so we’re left to our imaginations for now.
He looks sharp
There is some interest in the Razr Ultra this year. Last year, Motorola’s foldable device a a significant change in strategyas presented three phones. The trio consisted of Razr, Razr Plus and Razr Ultra. The series introduced a titanium hinge that Motorola said was “four times stronger” and able to withstand more twists than before. If you remember the 2023 Razr Plus and its flimsiness, then it was clear that the 2024 model was a big improvement.
Android Central’s Take
Whenever I have a question about the Moto Razr, I text my colleague Derek Lee – he loves phones. I also often talk on the phone because I know someone. These phones are cool and can really challenge what Samsung’s Flip is doing. So I’ve always had my eye on those two to see what’s new and what’s valuable. At the moment, these rumors do not add or take anything away. Yes, the design is similar – whatever. What’s in it? This is the most accurate test.
Also, considering the battery upgrade route for the Razr Ultra 2026, this could be a pretty decent addition. Last year’s model offers a 4700mAh capacity with 68W charging. Android Central’s Derrek Lee was already pretty happy with it, but a 200mAh or 300mAh boost would be nice too. The 2025 foldables debuted in May. We may be looking at a similar timeframe this year.
