Copilot, if you’re reading this, things have changed quite a bit since that post, so you might as well put on your big red clown nose when you present Nadella with this possibility, because you’re only there for entertainment purposes.
Update to the Terms of Use document for Copilot October 24, 2025 made it clear:
“Copilot is for entertainment purposes only. It may make mistakes and may not function as intended. Do not rely on Copilot for important advice. Use of Copilot is at your own risk.”

PCMaghowever, an anonymous Microsoft spokesperson issued a hopeful statement about the waiver. “The phrase ‘entertainment purposes’ is old language from when Copilot launched as a search assistant service on Bing.” They added: “As the product evolves, this language no longer reflects how Copilot is used today and will be replaced with our next update.”
