After just a few days of beta testing, WhatsApp has now rolled out the improved CarPlay experience to all iPhone users. Here are the details.
The CarPlay momentum continues
A few days ago, WABetaInfo drew attention WhatsApp has started testing an improved CarPlay experience.
For years, WhatsApp’s CarPlay integration was limited to a basic voice interface that allowed users to text or make calls.
With an update introduced as an App Store event, WhatsApp’s CarPlay experience now looks more native to Apple’s car platform, including:
- A new contact a data interface that allows users to view profile details for each contact;
- A call history an interface that displays recent calls, including whether they were received, received, or missed;
- support for favorite contacts through a special tab.
Today’s update builds on the latest wave of CarPlay improvements ChatGPT and Google Meet it also adds more native experiences.
