The Pixel Phone app features custom Send Message greetings

The Pixel’s Take a Message feature, which answers calls on your behalf and lets you view live transcripts, now adds personalized greetings.

Once available, you will be prompted to add a “Personal touch to your missed calls” managed by Take Message at the top of the Home tab. You can also access custom greetings in the future by going to Settings > Get Message.

This takes you to the “Standard greeting” – “The person you’re calling is unavailable. Leave a message after the call” – and a new “Greetings” page that lets you record new ones.

The recorder has a beautiful Material 3 Expressive interface that allows you to record a one-minute clip. When you’re done, pause and then click “Save” in the bottom corner.

You can have multiple posts saved in Greetings by marking the active one with a star. Use the three-dot overflow menu to “Set as Default”.

With message version 216, we see a special Get Message greetings spread Phone beta by Google. Not on stable channel yet.
