Spring will have a big horror movie next week The Mummy by Lee Crony, and it sounds for patients.
After its premiere over the weekend, reactions to the film have been pouring in all over social media. The general consensus seems to be that Crony has made a film that is as scary as it is scary, and that his latest film is a special treat for fans, Rise of the Evil Dead. If you’re not into Cronin’s brand of horror, this one isn’t for you – but we’ve still collected some posts below so you can decide for yourself.
Lee Cronin’s Mummy: There are some really creepy scenes, but this movie really shines when it’s GROSS. If only marketing would focus on this aspect a bit more – the natural tendency we all have to experience something a friend swears by is absolutely disgusting

#LeeCroninsTheMummy is without a doubt the scariest and most disgusting Mummy movie you will ever see. I’m being cruel in some ways because I can’t go in for spoilers, and it’s definitely not for everyone, but if you enjoyed Evil Dead Rise, you’ll love this. pic.twitter.com/t6ACbeylZH

#LeeCroninsTheMummy it is a disgusting, horrible, vile and disgusting movie. In other words, he is a destroyer. It plays like Crony seeing him GO BACK after listening to THE OMEN, THE VANISHING and BRAINDEAD and then saying “bet”. A little long in the tooth, but it bites. Difficult. pic.twitter.com/v7Ti2pcm5S

#LeeCroninsTheMummy it’s going hard. He doesn’t hold back. An unusual crawling show. Terrifying, scream-worthy, and squirm-inducing. Natalie Grace is the MVP in a performance inspired by Linda Blair. A buffet of split diopter shots. @warnerbros pic.twitter.com/BWmxciSYxY

#LeeCroninsTheMummy turns the play into an intimate domestic horror, turning family trauma and grief into something terrifying and deeply disturbing. Visceral body horror with excellent squelching sound design subverts what you’d expect from a monster movie. Fingers and toes will curl! pic.twitter.com/c55KIIp2wk

#LeeCroninsTheMummy it’s the real damn deal. Bad, disgusting, bloody and indifferent. It’s basically Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Mummy, so if you dig his style in Rise, you’ll love this take on The Mummy. Laia Costa remains one of my favorite actresses and Natalie Grace steals every scene she’s in. pic.twitter.com/6G9EsHq76W

If you’re a fan of Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise, you’ll be entertained by what he brings to The Mummy. There are odd choices here and there, but the spirit of a gritty monster movie involving a little girl mummy pays off well. #LeeCroninsTheMummy pic.twitter.com/4AQKLpwUPV

The Mummy by Lee Crony the film follows a family that has just been reunited with their middle daughter, Katie, who disappeared nearly ten years ago. As the family adjusts to Katie’s return to their lives, the father (Jack Raynor) tries to figure out why she went missing and what happened to her, while the young girl takes actionβ¦off. Strange things begin to happen around and in the family, and slowly it dawns on them that something has either returned with their daughter or has completely taken over her.
For those open to Cronin’s brand of horror, it should be good to hear positive reactions, especially since the film’s marketing cycle began with rumors of some pretty negative impressions from test audiences. It’s not over: Warner Bros. had to remind fans that it was unrelated. Universal trilogy from the early 2000s and thus Brendan Fraser does not starwho will headline Mummy 4 In 2028.
Name and continuity confusion aside, The Mummy by Lee Crony It will be in theaters this Friday, April 17. Look for full reviews before then.
