I love MagSafe batteries and have probably tested hundreds of them at this point. There are plenty of great options out there with different capacities, charging speeds, built-in cables and diagnostic displays, and there’s a MagSafe battery option for just about any situation. But my favorite feature is the subtlety. While the 10,000mAh battery is great, it adds too much extra bulk for most day-to-day situations. So for the past few months I’ve been on the hunt for slim MagSafe batteries that add the least amount of bulk to my iPhone. These are the three best ones I’ve tested so far.
If you want to see all this in action, don’t forget to watch our video below!
The Kuxiu B10 isn’t the thinnest of the bunch, but it’s certainly the most versatile of the bunch, and possibly my favorite. It will of course charge your phone via MagSafe, but it has a trick that every MagSafe battery should perform. You get:
- 9.1 mm thin and weighs 120 grams
- Qi2 wireless charging (up to 15W)
- 5000 mAh battery
- USB-C charging (input and output, up to 20W)
- Double-sided MagSafe magnets
- Low current mode for small devices like AirPods

The standout feature on this one is the double sided Magsafe magnets. On the side of the battery facing away from the iPhone, they added another magnetic ring so you can attach additional accessories. So if you want to add a MagSafe stand, wallet or pop socket, you can. I think this is an incredible feature. So simple yet so useful. Like I said, more brands should make this a normal feature.
Kuxiu B10 for sale $39 from the Kuxiu website. What’s cool is that it also includes a MagSafe ring holder, so you can test out the dual MagSafe design right away, even if you don’t have any other accessories.
This is where things get exciting in terms of finesse. BMX claims to have the world’s thinnest solid-state MagSafe battery. So, if subtlety is your top priority, buy this. For reference, the iPhone 17 Pro is 8.75mm thin and this battery is 6.8mm! Here’s what you get:
- 6.8 mm thin and weighs 120 grams
- 5000mAh
- Qi2 wireless charging (up to 15W)
- USB-C with wired output up to 20W
- Brushed titanium case
- Solid-state battery technology

At just 6.8mm thin, it’s noticeably slimmer than anything else in this category, even compared to already thin variants. Although it weighs the same as Kuxiu’s B10, it feels lighter because it’s so thin. It’s even thinner than Apple’s MagSafe battery for the iPhone Air. The Apple version is 7.7mm thick, while the SolidSafe is 6.8mm. So if you’re looking for the thinnest battery possible, this is the way to go. It comes in three colors: Black, Silver and Gold. You can get for $59 on the BMX websiteand they offer discounts if you buy more than 1. In fact, there are three of them that I always keep charged when I’m on the go.
I’m a big fan Pitaka cases. I’ve been using them since the iPhone X. They are ultra-thin and made of aramid fiber, which gives you a great look and feel. They have brought this design language and sophistication to the latest MagSafe power bank. It is the most balanced of the bunch. You get:
- 8.8 mm thin and weighs 118 grams
- 5,000 mAh (also available in 10,000 mAh)
- Qi2 wireless charging (up to 15W)
- USB-C with wired output up to 20W
- Aramid fiber construction

This is easily one of the best feeling MagSafe batteries I’ve used. Aramid fiber finish adds grip while still feeling smooth and premium. It’s thin enough to still feel comfortable in your pocket without feeling too bulky. It is technically the lightest of the three. Currently on sale Pitaka’s site for $69 and comes in many colors and designs. If you’re looking for one that balances design with subtlety and you like the look of woven aramid fiber, this is also a great call.
Final thoughts
I’ve always believed that MagSafe batteries should be thin and light enough to stay in your phone without being a nuisance. The bigger the MagSafe battery, the less I use it. All three of these MagSafe foci fit that mold; they’re slim, charge at 15W, and feel like an extension of your phone, not a charger you keep in your bag. My personal favorite is the Kuxiu B10 because of the genius extra magnetic ring. But if you want the slimmest, Solid Safe is the way to go.
But you can really go wrong with any of these. Let us know what you think. Do you like slim MagSafe batteries? Prefer bigger ones that can charge more than just an iPhone? Let’s discuss below!
