What you need to know
- Rumors claim that Google is working on “Proactive Assistance” that will help the AI make timely “suggestions” throughout the day.
- Because Google takes into account your notifications, there’s a chance that Gemini will allow it to rely on your Personal Intelligence data and apps like Gmail.
- This new rumor is along the lines of a previous report which said that the Gemini might get a feature similar to Samsung’s Now Briefly, Your Day.
There are rumors that Google is working on new features Twinswhat has recently emerged may be the umbrella under which it all sits.
Discovered by the latest 9 to 5 Googleclaims the company is working on a “Proactive Assistance” feature for the Gemini app. The feature is said to be designed to reveal “personalized suggestions” from connected apps of your choice. The publication cites its APK research, which highlights the feature’s safe handling of your data.
It adds that this is because Proactive Help uses your content in Gmail and Calendar.

It’s this “personalized offers” rumor that interests me the most. What will it look like? But beyond that, how busy would Gemini be on my phone? Looks like an AI indeedreally wants to get involved in what’s going on. Obviously, I should allow it, and neither should you. All this under the guise of “being useful” if this feature actually works. I suppose there is some merit there.
When using data in such apps (and likely other Workspace-related apps), Proactive Help will use “your notifications and what’s on your screen” on a per-post basis. It’s still pretty bare bones, as the publication’s APK dive only revealed these notes in the Gemini app’s code. What Proactive Help will look like is still unclear how this will be done. In addition, the article says that Google’s original code emphasizes its ability to provide suggestions “at the right time.”
Maybe this is what happens when an email arrives, as we mentioned in the code that notifications are part of it. Gemini has the chance to actively catch up on any important dates with the ability to add them to your Calendar app.
Busy, busy Gemini
Here’s where things get interesting, because as mentioned earlier, Gemini has been rumored before to be more active with users. A report earlier this month claimed that Google is working on Your Day, a feature similar to Samsung’s Now Brief. It was claimed that “Your Day” will be based on it Personal Intelligence of Gemini “proactive feed” and a link to your Connected apps for the card. These can be memorable moments and things for the day ahead.
Android Central’s Take
The more rumors about this new direction for Gemini, the more it sounds like Google is taking inspiration from Samsung. I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Now, Brief is quite useful and can come in handy for users who want to make sure they’re not missing anything. With Personal Intelligence and the latest upgrade, I’m sure there will be a lot to work with Google. The only thing is, do you want it?
Ironically, 9to5 also mentions this old leak and reports that Google has supposedly changed its name to “Daily Brief”. As for personal intelligence, Gemini I recently received an update with Google introducing Nano Banana 2 support. Now that AI can see your content stored in Photos, users can create images based on those memories for a new extraordinary creation. Its capabilities include your history, video history, and more. goes beyond Photos with support for
