We Accidentally Got Our First Look at The Last Airbender’s Adult Heroes


Fans still have hope Paramount may decide to change course and release The Legend of Aang– the first feature cartoon based on Avatar: The Last Airbender– mostly in theaters puts it in streaming status. But as the fall release window approaches, there’s now a new detail to latch on to: a first look at the film’s characters.

In the grand tradition of superhero movies removing spoilers via early trade dropsfootage comes from the retailer and not through Nickelodeon or Paramount’s official channels. The target has a shirt on their websiteit is currently listed as “out of stock” but still has the graphic for all to see. You can check out the artwork at the top of this post and pick out the adult versions of Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, and Toph.

Like detectives Nerdist Target also sells t-shirts for individual characters (or will once the website is assembled): Aang, Katara, Zukoand Toph. Plus, you can get a group Appa and Momo hang in the background – and another group pose it involves what appears to be a villainous character Voiced by Dave Bautista.
