TL;DR

  • Google is expanding its Gemini notebooks into a mobile app.
  • The feature is available for both free and paid users.
  • Expansion to additional countries in Europe will follow.

Last year, Google released an update to Gemini that introduced NotebookLM integration, allowing AI to use NotebookLM as a source. That integration got a little deeper after the tech giant introduced it earlier this month “Laptops” in Geminia dedicated place to organize your chats and files. Google hinted that notebooks would eventually come to a mobile app, and now it’s here.

Today, Google officially shared on social media announces Bringing laptops to mobile users in Gemini. This integration gives the chatbot access to all your personal, non-shared notebooks directly within the app. At the same time, you can use your conversations with AI as a resource on new or existing unshared laptops.

When Gemini laptops were first introduced, they were only available to Google AI Ultra, Pro and Plus subscribers on the web. With this extension for mobile, this feature is available to both paid and free users. Note that free, Plus, Pro, and Ultra users get up to 50, 100, 300, and 600 resources per notebook, respectively.

Google also says Gemini laptops will expand to additional countries in Europe. However, the tech giant did not offer a date for this expansion, only stating that it will happen “soon”.
