Grace’s nickname

An interesting case that blurs the line between reality and delusion

If you are a fan The Handmaid’s Tale or the works of Margaret Atwood Grace’s nickname is a must-watch thriller series that you can binge in one day. This period crime drama tells the story of Grace Marks, a young and mild-mannered Irish immigrant who is accused of a brutal double murder in 19th-century Canada. Years later, as she lives out her days as a prisoner, psychiatrist Simon Jordan is brought in to evaluate Grace’s mental state and determine if she should be pardoned and if her claim about memory lapses during the crime is true.

Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer

It’s based on a gruesome killing spree that took place in real life in the 1980s

I always start my weekends with a documentary (usually true crimes), and Night Stalker it was a documentary that haunted me for days. It’s a four-part miniseries detailing the story of infamous serial killer Richard Ramirez during his 14-month reign of terror in Los Angeles in the 1980s. It tells the story from the perspective of detectives working on the case in a race against the clock as they try to uncover Ramirez’s identity.

What makes the Night Stalker (also known as the Walk-In Killer) interesting is that his series of murders are seemingly disjointed and the victims bear no resemblance. The hunt takes place amid paranoia among Los Angeles residents, while the media tries to uncover the true identity of the Night Stalker.

This documentary was a compelling watch because of the description of the killer (despite some sensationalism) and the events, as well as the panic that was spreading in LA at the time.

A heartbreaking story of love and survival

Inspired by Stephanie Land’s memoir Maid: Hard work, low pay and a mother’s will to survive, servant It’s a critically acclaimed limited drama series that has been called one of Netflix’s best emotional stories. tells the story of Alex (of substance Margaret Qualley), a young mother who escapes an abusive relationship and starts working as a maid to make ends meet and support her child.
