Magical: The Gathering will continue to expand this year – both for his fans crossover setsand all of that the main game.
At the Friday Magic Conference, Wizards of the Coast announced several new sets, with the main course Reality fracture. Set to be released in October, the set will complete the game’s current arc, in which Planeswalker Jace creates an alternate universe so that he can undo the damage previously inflicted by the Phyrexians and Eldrazi. The Echoverse features new versions of celebrities Magical Characters like Chandra having more ice magic than normal fire.
Fractures said Marys Mullaley, creative and narrative director Polygon The new versions of Chandra and other mainstays like Ajani and Garruk are Jace’s “perfect multiverse creation ((which) comes with its own biases. Chandra’s impulsiveness was something he struggled with a lot. Where did that come from, what was it in his life that shaped him that way? As Jace created a lot of things, did he do too much? What if he and Chandra helped control Avishkar?'”
On the crossover front, Wizards returns to Middle Earth with a The Hobbit set for Magical: The Gathering. followed by The Lord of the Rings Set from 2023, JRR Tolkien’s prequel characters and locations will get their own cards, and legacy characters like Gandalf and Bilbo will get updates. If that wasn’t enough, some of the cards have artwork similar to book covers, while others are in dwarven language.
The coast will bring wizards The Hobbit for Magical: The Gathering On August 14 and Reality fracture It will be in stores on October 2nd. You can read about the upcoming brand new game from Wizards Mood swings here.
