While WhatsApp continues to roll out the Liquid Bottle look on the main Chats screen at a glacial pace, Meta is also working to add a refreshed look to the chat interface. Here are the details.
Liquid Glass is still not available on the official WhatsApp app
Last year, WhatsApp began testing an early adaptation of the Liquid Glass look, bringing it to the app’s bottom navigation bar and some elements of the Chats tab interface.
In early October WABetaInfo announced that it has a new look is starting to roll out to some usershowever, the rollout seems to have been slower than expected, with most users still not seeing the updated interface.
Nevertheless, Meta continued to expand on the Liquid Glass design in the WhatsApp beta version available in TestFlight. Earlier this year, for example, voicemail player updated with a new look. now, WABetaInfo reports the company is working to bring it to the entire chat screen.
Although not yet available to beta testers, WABetaInfo managed to activate a new interface that includes a floating chat panel and a semi-transparent navigation panel with subtle depth, shadow and blur effects.

While it may increase the expectation of WhatsApp users who are still disappointed by the lack of access to the updated look, the update shows that Meta is continuing to work on the visual overhaul and may continue to roll out more until more of the app is updated to fit the Liquid Glass design.
As with beta features, especially those that are only referenced in code, it seems here, there’s no word on when it’ll be officially released.
