Microsoft and Xbox There are several high-profile first-party releases coming in 2026 Halo: The campaign has evolved and the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day Fairy tale reboot. A title that has the potential to be the most successful of them all Forza Horizon 6 — the next great open world racer Playground Games only days left now.
Set in the diverse and beautiful lands of Japan, with more refined driving mechanics, customization options, game action and multiplayer features unlike any previous entry, I have to say: the game looks like a great sequel. Forza Horizon 5and must play for racing game lovers. It is scheduled to be released on May 19 – a week and a half from the time of writing Xbox Series X|S, PC (SteamXbox on PC) and Xbox Game Passcomplete with Play Xbox Anywhere support.
It’s not the only reference in the trailer, however. Another Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 and Mazda RX-7 FD3S come in right after, at 0:58, when they are neck and neck; these are the main cars driven by characters Takumi Fujiwara and Keisuke Takahashi in one of the first major races of the popular racing manga Primary D.
Overall the trailer is a good time from start to finish, the short and sweet video shows off the vibrant natural landscapes and neon-drenched cities of Forza Horizon 6’s Japan rendition, with lots of different cars, stunts and intense racing moments. I’m a big fan of the vibe.
Considering how popular it is Forza Horizon 5 was, I have no doubt that its successor will also be a huge hit and will likely be one of the biggest and most popular games of 2026. It wouldn’t surprise me if we see Microsoft bring it PS5 at one point it’s even reconsidering bringing back Xbox exclusivesas Forza Horizon 5 sold incredibly well on the Sony console.
You can pre-order Forza Horizon 6 for $69.99 before the release date, although you can just get it on Xbox and Xbox on PC. $54.39 Downloaded. The $119.99 Premium Edition, which includes Car Pass, Car Packs, future DLC, and four days of Early Access, is also available for price only. $92.99 Downloaded. Of course, the game is coming Xbox Game Pass.
