This week I wore a pair of Viture Beast smart glasses Motorola Razr Fold 2026 to see what to do. Most phones simply mirror the phone screen onto a pair of smart glasses, but Motorola is doing something completely different. A special menu appears on the glasses, which allows you to quickly launch games, movies, video chats, or even turn your phone into a full-fledged laptop replacement.
Over the years, as smartphones have become more capable, I’ve found that my travel bag has gotten lighter and lighter. Smartphones have replaced dedicated cameras for the vast majority of people—I’ve even gone to more than one event without a big camera—and if my experience with the Razr Fold is anything to go by, laptops may be on their way out soon.
Using a phone as a laptop is nothing new in itself, but Motorola is making the transition easy Motorola Smart ConnectIt’s the software they’ve developed over the past few years that connects all your devices. The bright side is that it doesn’t just work on Motorola devices, as it’s designed to let you carry all your digital stuff and data, no matter what platform you’re using.
Fulfilling the XR dream
Over the past few years, we’ve seen new VR headsets launch with the idea of being a “laptop for your face.” apple did it with Vision Pro. It did with Samsung Galaxy XR. Both companies were successful in their own ways with these releases, but the price was prohibitive for most people.
But like a pair of XR smart glasses Xreal 1S or Viture Beast it’s a whole other story. While still a bit pricey, these glasses are a fraction of the price of bulkier VR headsets and offer a slimmer hardware profile that fits easily in a travel bag and looks less awkward when worn in public.
Perhaps even better, the glasses connect to your phone, meaning you don’t have to install all your favorite apps or transfer your most important files to another device. In addition, Motorola’s excellent Smart Connect software gives you a completely different UI when the glasses are connected, and it looks like your desktop or laptop computer.
For maximum productivity, I recommend putting a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse in your travel bag. This brilliant Logitech keyboard ($24 at the time of this writing) includes a laptop-style trackpad, so you can get all the convenience of laptop control without packing extra hardware. Just open Razr Fold’s Bluetooth settings and pair the keyboard with your phone, no additional configuration required!
When you connect your favorite glasses to the Razr Fold, a menu will appear that allows you to quickly launch desktop, TV, video call or game modes. The Razr Fold’s screen will automatically turn into a trackpad for navigation, so if you don’t want to go the keyboard and mouse route, it’s an extremely convenient fallback.
All you have to do now is use your thumb (or any finger) to move the on-screen mouse cursor to the mode of your choice, then tap the screen to click. If you enable Desktop Mode, the familiar desktop UI will appear on the screen along with the mouse cursor.
In that respect, there’s nothing the Razr Fold can’t do. Play games, launch your favorite browser, open Google Drive or Gmail and get some work done. Whatever floats your ship works here, and you can even scale, move, minimize, and more windows just like a Windows or Mac computer. you can
You can download to make things even better GameHub app Play games from Google Play Store and Steam local It replaces devices like the Steam Deck on the Razr Fold. I recently checked out the latest Viture Beast glasses and Viture warden accompanying him which is perfect for this functionality, replaces another device in your travel bag.
Now your phone does everything, and thanks to smart glasses like Viture Beast or Xreal 1S, your neck won’t suffer from looking at a handheld game system or laptop the entire trip.
