TL;DR
- OnePlus has stopped rolling out OxygenOS 16.0.7.XXX and 16.0.5.XXX.
- Streaming stopped due to devices experiencing abnormal restarts and loading issues.
- The release will resume after the issue is fixed and the builds are verified for stability and reliability.
OnePlus recently started rolling out the OxygenOS update. If you’re wondering why it’s still unavailable for your OnePlus device, it’s because the streaming has been discontinued. However, it shouldn’t be long before streaming resumes.
On it the company’s community forumOnePlus has announced that it has temporarily suspended the release of OxygenOS versions 16.0.7.XXX and 16.0.5.XXX. According to the post, some devices have experienced abnormal reboots and boot issues after updating to these devices. OnePlus says the pause decision was made to “ensure device stability and protect user experience.”
No timetable has been provided for when the update will roll out. However, OnePlus says it will resume the rollout once the issue is resolved and “builds are thoroughly checked for stability and reliability.” The company also says that its “teams are actively working on this with the highest priority.”
For what it’s worth, OnePlus apologized for the inconvenience. The brand also says it is “reviewing and strengthening” its testing and quality assurance processes to prevent similar problems in the future. So, it looks like you’ll have to sit tight for a while until OnePlus is ready to release its latest update.
